Platform terms
Use of the iPhone and iPad app is governed by the Apple Standard End User License Agreement. Apple's EULA does not govern the Android app. This page provides additional product terms and explanations for each platform.
Independent devotional aid
Catholic Fasting is not an official publication of the Catholic Church, the Holy See, the USCCB, a diocese, or an eparchy.
Guidance and Church authority
The app and website offer plain-language devotional guidance and links to primary sources. They do not replace the judgment or direction of competent Church authority. If the app or website differs from your pastor, diocese, eparchy, or other legitimate authority, follow that authority.
Health and safety
Catholic Fasting does not provide medical advice. Do not use it to diagnose, treat, or manage a health condition. Consult a qualified clinician before fasting if it may affect your health, pregnancy, recovery, medication, or an eating-disorder history. Stop and seek appropriate help if fasting causes concerning symptoms.
Premium subscriptions
Premium is available through optional monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions. The App Store shows the price and billing period for iPhone and iPad purchases, and Apple processes their payment and renewal. Google Play shows the price and billing period for Android purchases, and Google Play processes their payment and renewal.
You can manage or cancel a subscription with Apple. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Android subscriptions are managed or cancelled through Google Play using the Google account that made the purchase. Access to Premium may end when a subscription expires, is cancelled, or is revoked.
Optional tips
In the iPhone and iPad app, tips are optional one-time consumable purchases. They support the app's development but do not unlock features, create a subscription, or change the service provided.
Privacy and your content
Your use of the app and website is also subject to the Catholic Fasting Privacy Policy. You are responsible for deciding what to record. On iPhone and iPad, you also decide what to export or share. The Android app does not provide export, import, backup, or household-sharing features.
Changes
These additional terms may be updated when the app, website, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
