Scope

This policy applies to Catholic Fasting for iPhone and iPad and to the forthcoming Android version distributed through Google Play. It also explains the limited technical processing involved when you visit this website.

Information the app collects

The app does not collect personal information. You do not need an account, and the app does not use advertising identifiers, third-party analytics, or tracking technologies.

Information stored on your device

Information you add or generate in the app is stored locally on your device. Depending on the features you use, this may include:

• fasting schedules, start and end times, and history;
• intentions, reflections, notes, and progress;
• language, region, reminder, and other app preferences; and
• premium entitlement status provided by the app store.

Catholic Fasting does not operate a server that receives this app data. If you delete the app or erase its local data, the information may not be recoverable.

Exports and sharing

If you use an export or system sharing feature, you choose the destination. The receiving app or service handles that exported information under its own privacy policy. Catholic Fasting does not receive a copy.

Notifications

Optional reminders are scheduled and delivered using your device’s notification system. Notification preferences remain on your device and can be changed in the app or system settings.

Purchases

Apple or Google processes subscriptions, tips, and other in-app purchases. Catholic Fasting does not receive your payment-card details. The applicable store may provide the app with a limited purchase or entitlement status so paid features can be unlocked. Apple’s or Google’s privacy policy governs the store’s processing.

Website

This website does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. Its hosting provider may automatically process basic technical information, such as an IP address, browser type, and request time, as needed to deliver the site, maintain security, and prevent abuse. Catholic Fasting does not use that information to build profiles, sell personal information, or track visitors across sites.

Children’s privacy

The app is not designed to collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because no account is required and app content stays on the device, Catholic Fasting does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

Keeping app data on your device reduces the amount of information transmitted to others. The security of that local information also depends on your device, operating system, passcode, backups, and any export destination you choose.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app, website, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest version. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect when reasonably possible.
